What are the entry requirements?

No previous experience or qualifications are needed to enrol in our GCSE Maths course.

What will I gain?

This course will prepare you to sit the UK recoginised General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) Mathematics exams, whichever exam board you choose to sit the exam with (i.e. AQA, Edexcel or OCR)

Do I need to submit coursework?

No – the maths GCSE is entirely based on the exams.

How long does the course last?

As long as it takes you really! However, we recommend studying it over two years for 4 hours per week. There are around 40 topics in total; so it works out to master a topic every fortnight. Obviously some topics are easier than others so move through the topics at your own pace but make sure you are consistent. Set yourself a time of the day to study and several slots per week. Hours slots are best since it is hard to concentrate for much longer.

How much revision should I do?

When it comes to revision don’t set a total amount of time. Do as much as you can so that you feel confident walking into that exam. Just try to make the revision efficient. The innovative study tools e-studybuddy contains will help you pinpoint your areas of weakness so you concentrate you efforts on the topics you are worse at.

What is the cost of the course?

£9.99 per month covers site running cost, maintenance and development.

How do I arrange an examination?

It is your responsibility to make your arrangements with an examination centre. You will have to pay an examination fee as well as a centre fee which will vary depending on exam centre.
